Read some political news for the first time in a looooong time today. Rick Santorum, apparently, has not disappeared. I just really don't know what to make of that.

Well, maybe Alice Walker, Paul Stamets, or Amy Goodman will one day take up the mantle. . . one can always hope and dream, eh?
When I was a kid, I filled notebook after notebook with little comic strips about a group of elite army fighters I called the Stick Army, because . . . well, they were stick people. Pretty creative, huh? Out of sheer boredom of cruising the internet when I have snippets of downtime at work, I've been harkening back to my youth. I have created newer renditions of the Stick Army, though it's become more of a channel for me to express some political/social commentary. So, here it goes:
STICK ARMY: They are here to kick ass and take names....for AMERICA!
Episode1: Love
Episode 2: Life
I got inspired while listening to the Democracy Now coverage fo the State of the Union Address on the way to work. So, during my morning meeting, instead of making notes, I sketched out my own. Check it:

It's been a while since I've done a Tripland cartoon, a series which I wanted to put out more regularly. But, as I read the latest editorial by my favorite columnist Ted Rall today, I got inspired. You can read the article here: http://www.rall.com/rallblog/2011/06/08/syndicated-column-being-nothingness-and-anthony-weiner
The particular quote by Ted Rall that inspired this episode of Tripland: "I would love to live in a country in which lying to the public was cause for resignation. It sure would make for a lot of vacancies in government. But we don’t–and it seems weird to hold a sexter to a higher standard than a warmongering mass murderer."
Enjoy!
